私（江村忠彦）は、これまで乾漆という技法によって彫刻作品を作り、国内外で作品を発表し続けてきました。この制作技法を応用した小皿を”そ”と名付けました。塑、祖、素、蘇、組というイメージを重ねています。
乾漆は、漆と土（砥の粉）を混ぜたものを麻布に塗って、それを貼り重ねていく技法です。基本的には1300年前、奈良時代の仏像の作り方と変わりません。漆、紙、土、布…すべて天然由来の素材でできています。
軽くて丈夫、割れないため、日常使いでも安心です。ざらつきのある仕上がり（粉蒔地：漆と布でできた本体に土の粉を散らして固めています）なので手から滑りにくく、長くご愛用頂くことで漆独特のツヤも出てきます。熱いものや冷たいもの、酸やアルカリにも強く、大切にご使用いただければ10年以上のご愛用は十分可能と思います。

・電子レンジは使用しないでください。 破損する可能性があります。
・つけ置きはしないでください。 水に長時間浸かると、芯材である布に水がしみ込むことでカビ等の原因になります。
・漆は紫外線に弱いため、直射日光に当たり続けると劣化します。ご注意ください。
・屋内における漆器目的のために制作されています。 適切な環境におけるご愛用をお願いします。
・角は欠けやすいため、取り扱いにご注意ください。

I (Tadahiko Emura) have been creating sculptures using the Kanshitsu technique and have exhibited my work in Japan and abroad. I named the small plates by the technique "SO". It is based on the sounds and images of Kanji like  "塑", "祖", "素", "蘇", and  "組".
Kanshitsu is a technique in which a mixture of Urushi lacquer and powdered soil (Tonoko) is applied to hemp cloth and layered. It is the same as how Buddhist statues were made 1,300 years ago in the Nara period. Urushi, paper, powdered soil, and cloth...all made from natural materials.
Light, durable, and does not break - it is safe for daily use. The rough finish (Konamakiji: the body made of Urushi lacquer and cloth is hardened by scattering powdered soil) makes it difficult to slip from your hand, and the unique luster of Urushi will come out if you use it for a long time. It is also resistant to hot or cold, acids, and alkalis. If you use it carefully, it will be enough for more than 10 years in daily use.

● You can receive free repair (with warranty) for 3 years after arrival. However, this will be treated within the scope of repair.
● Attention:
・This work is made with Urushi lacquer. We will deliver a fully solidified product, but please be careful if you are sensitive to Urushi lacquer.
・It is possible to wash with water or with a neutral detergent. In this case, please wipe off the moisture with a cloth after washing.
・Please do not use the dishwasher. It may cause a risk of damage.
・Please do not use the microwave oven. It may cause a risk of damage.
・Please do not soak in the water. If soaked for several hours, the mildew will be caused because the water is soaked into the core of the cloth.
・Urushi is weak against UV rays. It will deteriorate if exposed to direct sunlight. Please be careful.
・works are created for lacquerware. Please use them in a suitable environment.
・The corners are easily chipped. Please handle with care.
